Ark. firefighter dies of heart attack on fire call - 1/27/2010

BATESVILLE, Ark. — A volunteer firefighter died of a heart attack while responding to a fire Tuesday afternoon in Independence County.

According to the Northside Volunteer Fire Chief Karol Fleetwood, 52-year-old Henry Sandy was responding to a trailer fire in the county.

When Sandy arrived, he fell over suffering from a heart attack. Firefighters called for emergency personal who worked on Sandy and transported him to the White River Medical Center, where he later passed away.
